The Indian Navy, with its professionalism, technical prowess, worldwide arena of operations and human approach is not only ready to defend the nations's maritime interests in peace and war, but also ensures and environment of peace and traquility in the Indian Ocean region by continuously "Reaching out to our Maritime Neighbours".
In India, December 4 is celebrated as Navy Day. On this day, Indian Navy played a significant role in the bombing of Karachi harbor in the 1971 war in Operation Trident which was launched on December 4. Owing to its success, the day of the attack has been celebrated as Navy Day since then.
I received this beautiful FDC from Kasinath with the special cancellation of 09.09.09
