The simple answer to to the above question is Post office ,but now there are many other options available to purchase stamps. Today we will discuss what are the different methods are available for buying stamps.

  2. Buy Stamps from The Official Website of the country 
  3. Buy Stamps from Ebay
  4. Buy Stamps From Zazzle (print stamps)
  5. Buy Stamps from various Sites available online.
  6. Buy or Exchange from Friends / fellow collectors
  7. Buy from ATM (some countries have this facility)
  8. Buy from Service counter/grocery stores eg: Walmart etc.
  9. Buy from Philatic Dealers.
  10. Buy from various Auction Site

India - I.N.S DELHI


Issue Date: 15.11.1998
INS Delhi is the lead ship of her class of guided-missile destroyers of the Indian Navy. She was built at the Mazagon Dock Limited in Mumbai and commissioned on 15 November 1997. This class is among the largest warships to be designed and built in India.
INS Delhi is the second vessel of the Indian Navy to bear the name. She inherits the mantle from the Leander class cruiser of the same name, which had an illustrious career in the Portuguese-Indian War of 1961, during the liberation of Goa, Daman and Diu.

USA - The Boston Tea Party stamps


The Boston Tea Party stamps (attached) are Scott #'s 1480 to #1483. They were issued on July 4, 1973,
commemorating the bicentennial of the protest against British taxation without colonial representation.
The Boston Tea Party,(Dec. 16, 1773),  incident in which 342 chests of tea belonging to the British East India Company were thrown from ships into Boston Harbour by American patriots disguised as Mohawk Indians.The Americans were protesting both a tax on tea (taxation without representation) and the perceived monopoly of the East India Company.

Bluenose stamp (1929)



This stamp is regarded as the most beautiful and rare Canadian stamp, it was printed by the Canadian Bank Note Company to depict the Bluenose, a schooner (racing ship) from Nova Scotia.

Dear Readers,
Since i do not get much time to write on the blog ,i thought of starting something new, so going onwards i will be sharing with you pictures of various stamps with one liners. 

That will give you at least something nice to look at, and also some details on stamps.
